Worth remembering that our entire solar system would only be a tiny, really really tiny fraction of a pixel on this picture: :|

If that's our galaxy, somebody's got a bloody good drone.

It has the look of Andromeda to me.

And here's the ultimate photo of our pale blue dot, taken by the ultimate drone:

It is Andromeda, but sadly, the cost of getting a pix of our galaxy from that distance was a bit beyond PayPal. Our galaxy is about the same size (give or take a mile or so  )

Hard to believe, but it’s even wider than Corporation Street is long. :P

I was quite prepared to believe that you were referring to your own home planet.

The thinking is there’s a black hole with a mass of millions of Suns at the centre of our galaxy. That’s a big bloody pothole in anybody’s book. :heyhey:

On my walk around the lake this morning (only saw a couple of people and a few sad looking fishing types) I came across this Gig looking a bit forlorn in the grass. I suppose this years Gig rowing season is down the tubes as you need six rowers and a cox which wont fit the 2 metre rule. So they've dragged it up from the water and plonked it here. Couldn't get a side view as the battery in the camera decided to 'pay off.'

Excellent. I'll have a pint of Flowers please, barman.

And after that, I'm off to the butchers down the road for a pint of Brains.

….. and that's the magic, you'd be able to sit and consider planning and forethought for the gardening job you're not going to do (certainly not that day anyway.) :heyhey:

I have a knitting pattern to do a Starsky cardigan. 1 day I will get round to doing it.
Personally couldn't stand David Soul, elder sister had a violent bf who looked very similar to Hutch.
