After I'd done my first trip to sea I decided to get a tattoo. Believe it or not I got it in Stoke. I was once asked in a ship's bar if Stoke was a port (by a Filipino Officer as I remember.)

I sailed with all kinds of nationalities, but I found Filipinos very British like. Colonised by everybody and their dog over a long history (including Europeans.) Must be that island mentality. (And they've got a lot of islands.) You might think Japan is the equivalent of Britain in the far east, but I've always thought the Philippines was a much better equivalent.
Had I mentioned Port Vale to a Filipino, he would probably have told me he supported Accrington Stanley …

I bought some stuff off an eBayer in Japan, and, as he often has interesting items, I 'saved' him as a seller and have just got an alert about his current offerings. He deals in two largely separate styles of offerings, quality tools and cosmetic products.

I have decided to put a picture of one of his current offerings here, just so that you don't get a history of Googling for it.
