The main difference is that Welsh is only spoken in North Wales when they realise an Englishman has entered the pub.

I've been offered the opportunity to go "British-style cruising".

I don't think I'll be clicking on that.

Aged memory has just recalled an incident that occurred on a school trip to Snowdonia. 1st Year Sixth, youth hosteling, probably meant to be studying geography or something. Had climbed Snowdon & then down to that nights youth hostel where we dumped our rucksacks etc and decamped to the local pub about a mile away. Clearly heard conversation in English until we entered when the occupants all started speaking Welsh. So we stood around drinking our pints except for the school's really nerdy geek who sat in the corner clutching his rucksack which he had brought with him. Eventually he opened his rucksack, rummaged around, said "look what I found on the mountain today", and dumped two mortar shells on the table. Pub emptied very rapidly with a lot of language which didn't really seem to be English or Welsh.

I just had an email telling me it's 'National Smile Month.' I thought, what a nice idea, we could do with a few more smiles given the drain the world is sliding down.

Then I read further, it was from someone trying to sell me an electric toothbrush

I think I'll climb to the top of the church tower with a rifle and wait for the first person I see smiling …. :emo::urgh::bum:

eBay thinks, repeatedly, that I might want to buy a "luxury cream and gold curtain tie-back".

    They're wrong.

Mmm, recently, I did recently look at some nylon rope for rigging a boat and a Venetian blind for somebody else.

They seem to have added two and two to get a hundred and sixty seven.

I have been targeted by Rhodius - the can filling experts.

They specialise in putting drinks in cans.

I'm still specialising in getting drinks out of cans.....

As a means of enticing me to buy this book -

    - I have had it revealed to me that "Faith is not a fashion show".

Well, do you know, I had already spotted that, thank you.

I have faith that you have spotted that but I think that you would look good in a fashion show, ala Kraftwerk :)

For various reasons, Kraftwerk is one of those foreign words that I get the meaning of without having to run it through the internal translator system, it just means what it means straight away. For that reason, I got all the way to the counter in Lotus with this -

    - before I realised that I hadn't found an obscure early LP.
