I do rather find The Greyhound ales to be livelier, fresher and more appropriately temperature controlled
But the company here is superior
Maybe the Gin Bar ( with cellar ) and the Floodgate should swop venues
I love the floodgate. It's my favourite pub in Stafford. Had some lovely pints in there last night.
Do u also drink in the Greyhound?
Yes i do, however only when I walk to Rangers games. I was in the Greyhound a couple of weeks ago.

I have forgotten most of it!.....
Called in for a quick one after work last night, ran into a chap I hadn't seen for about 8 years.

Potential disaster this afternoon, No porkpie!
however folks rallied round and chatted with strangers then a rousing cheer when Andrew arrived with meats, cheese, olives and crackers.
PS the saltaire IPA is excellent....
Agreed, I like the Saltaire IPA. It's also not bad in bottles. I think Morrison's in Stone does / did it.
Yes it did last time I went in there a coupe of months ago. They also had Yorkshire blonde made by Osset brewery which was rather pleasant as well.
In The Greyhound at the moment, lovely pint of Farmers Blonde. Just on my second.
