Now tell me that I am a lazy scrounger who can't be arsed to work and doesn't deserve to live because I'm such a burden on society. The words "you" and "f***" come to mind...
Errr....

did I say that? so back at ya on that one

I dont think your lazy...I think its about your ideas that you shouldnt have too work for this capitalist world etc that cause the problem. You obvo have the energy and committment, its your mindframe thats all wrong and until you sort that your gonna have real problems. Maybe I'm wrong but I have a feeling your one of those employees that causes a ton of trouble as your entitled to blah blah blah and you should be able to blah blah blah and believe me it dont go down well

EDIT: seeing some of your other comments...you realise Marxism DOESNT work dont you? The idea of a Utopian society is pure fantasy
Well I wouldn't be the only person to completely misrepresent what someone has said, and actually I refuse to take part in something that causes me deep unhappiness. You wouldn't make a pacifist join the army or force a beef steak down a vegetarian's throat except as a form of torture.

You do realise that capitalism DOESN'T work don't you (note the apostrophes)? Or is that a stupid question...

Greetings Forumites,

I was just awoken by the sound of Banthers when I noticed this thread.

This thread would be appear to be a fascinating snap shot of your society, indeed the forum it self. An incredible social experiment if you will.

I would like to point out if I may an incredible paradox (although I suspect you may have noticed).

The Lunar Scorpion appears to greatly need an enemy with which to battle, for without one she may cease to exist.

She rebels against you forumites, as well as society, money, evil doers, politicians and the lazy employees at job centres. She rebels against solitude, judging eyes and the whispers of rumour. She rebels against and becomes slowly more convinced of her righteous rage.

For every time you wrong her, her anger swells and as we know anger leads to hate, hate to fear, fear to suffering and suffering to the dark side of the force.

She is only a gentle child inside searching for love, do not force her to hate you and you her. Guide her through her travails of life with encouragement, do not answer her posts and she will have more time to look for a job. Do not goad her into spending numerous minutes of the day verbally jousting with your avatar's when she could be forgetting to be angry.

When the anger leaves her there will only be boredom. And as we all know when there is only boredom, there is nothing else to do... but get a job.

Ah, but it does. It works as well as can be expected and bear in mind that almost NO other political school of thought works at all. Capitalism just doesn't work for you because of you attitude, expectations and unwillingness to try and change your own situation.

Your income is what? £200 / month give or take? Mine is a little under eight times that, pre tax/NI etc.. Why? Because my situation was poor and I thought "I know, what can I do about this?". Did I a) get a job or did i b) look up all the benefits i could get and then spend all day trying to get as much money as possible from the state?

a) This option is supported by, and supports capitalism. Net income = lots Me = happy
b) This option is 'tarded and selfish, to both those who work and those who are in a genuine need for the finite amount of welfare available. Net income = bugger all, or thereabouts. You = unhappy (and detested, it would seem)

Get that 148 IQ of yours fired up and think laterally about that.

so what you're basically saying is, we should keep an eye on lunar to make sure she's not building any moon-like craft?

Well recent events would seem to suggest that the free market economy has spectacularly failed. Any economy based on perpetual growth, as ours is, cannot be sustained.

Why the feck are we in the middle of a recession then, genius? And I'm supposed to be the dumb one...

It doesn't work for me because it is a pile of steaming shit and works no better than any other system.

Am I supposed to be impressed by that? I didn't claim a penny of the state until 2007 because I was busy studying so that I could get a job that paid well - as it happens, shit happened and it didn't work out.

Funny, one time when I earned about £500 within one month I was more miserable than before. It has been shown that increased income = greater happiness only up to a certain point. Here are some mildly interesting links on the subject:

We're in a (minor) recession due to hundreds of factors, including people like you who are economic drains. Mismanagement high up in banks, invading oil producing countries, a ridiculous housing market (which is fine, everyone complainig of losing the equity in their houses never had it anyway. Welcome to boom-bust. Welcome to economics), legislation draining company's of money because they have to give workers this, that and the other, 'tarded trade unions, youngsters popping out kids and living off the state, the USA economy crashing although if we're honest the most influential factor is the scaremongering media and our ignorant, filthy public.

Capitalism has allowed this government to tax us more than ever before and keep benefits high as a result, so I have no idea why you're complaining.

As far as being a steaming pile of shite goes, its a system which rewards ability, effort, hard work and commitment (although Labour is doing a sterling job of trying to make it pointless to even try at all) which is why you hate it, because you're a lazy arsed underachiever.

If you earned that much and you were miserable then clearly you didn't enjoy how you earned it or you're just plain odd. Assuming the former why not try something else?

I hate to point out all that studying was paid for by the tax payer.

Minor recession?!!! Its a bit worse than that.... Even in the 30s depression the banks didn't go down the plughole. What's happening now is testament to the monumental failure of free market economics. The media have got nothing to do with the position the economy is in. The premise that the economy has to be predicated on ever increasing growth is utterly flawed - since the economy is based on consumption of finite resources.

Capitalism has allowed this government to tax us more than ever before and keep benefits high as a result, so I have no idea why you're complaining.
That doesn't hold either - countries politically a little more to the left than we are have higher rates of taxation.

As far as being a steaming pile of shite goes, its a system which rewards ability, effort, hard work and commitment
Rewards such as £650,000 a year pension if you preside over a bank going to the wall.

I have re-thought my opinion. Taken off my shouty trousers and put the soap box away.

Remembered what the Jedi said the other day.
