Would love to be there Mr P&A but funds allow only one night out this week - frighteningly it's likely to be Friday. Hoping to steer my wayward chums your way with the lure of your beer festival.Pie & Ale said:Just a reminder: Sit & Listen live lounge session tonight @ 8pm everyone.

I'll ask his Dad.Express and Star said:Dave Gorman will be appearing at the Pie and Ale House, in Crabbery Street, Stafford, in association with Waterstones Stafford on Tuesday (June 7) to talk about his new book, Dave Gorman vs The Rest of the World. Tickets are £5 or £3 for Waterstones Loyalty Card holders and are available from the store. The talk starts at 7pm and Dave will also be signing copies of his new book.

I've just nipped round to Dave's Dad's and we rang him. He is under the impression that Waterstones should have sorted it out with you. I've just had a look and they seem to be open in Stafford from 10 to 4 tomorrow, and so it might be worth giving them a ring, as you may have a good number of people turning up anyway. There should, apparently, have been other publicity than just the E&S article.Gramaisc said:Pie & Ale said:Not as far as I know.John Marwood said:Is Dave Gorman buying all the drinks on Tuesday night?I'll ask his Dad.Express and Star said:Dave Gorman will be appearing at the Pie and Ale House, in Crabbery Street, Stafford, in association with Waterstones Stafford on Tuesday (June 7) to talk about his new book, Dave Gorman vs The Rest of the World. I've never met the bloke in my life - I only know his Dad. I still have the paper bag we used to stop the old boy hyper-ventilating when he found out that laddo was going to chuck in his maths degree and 'tell jokes for a living'...Florence said:Are you going to go Gramaisc? Only I've got a Waterstones card and could get you a ticket for £3, and then you could bring him to the quiz afterwards. It'd be fun!
You cannot begin to imagine just how much I suffered.Withnail said:I remember Dave being rather anxious about how his career change would go down with his folks.
Beginning to realise that I should have taken that to be a denial of knowledge of his drink-buying intentions - rather than of awareness of the event itself.Pie & Ale said:Not as far as I know.John Marwood said:Is Dave Gorman buying all the drinks on Tuesday night?

Yes, especially when Blondies are involved!Gramaisc said:Really! How much is one of the 69 tickets? Presumably a premium over a standard ticket..
