Yes, well said Mr Seed. It's time the UK pulled out of the Eurovision Song Contest, and took our money with us. They'd have real trouble financing it without us. Costs would have to be cut, but how? I suggest they get rid of the first half of the show, where the performers actually perform, and go straight to the voting stage. After all, the songs are irrelevant now everyone just votes for their neighbours.

Stafford Forum ruined my dinner!

Had some nice pasta on the hob - turned down the heat and thought I'd have a quick catch up on the forum. Lost track of time.

The slop that has not welded itself to the bottom of the pan is not apetising :(

Found a reasonably nice Flash layout for MySpace and the blinking thing doesn't work properly in anything other than IE.

I did warn you! You heard it here first...

We (bus drivers) also hate the number 4 service. I haven't actually done one of these yet but after chatting to the other drivers I believe it's a nightmare. Some of the drivers are actually re-routing it to go by the garages at the back of Charnley Road. The thing is ALL the routes are set by head office at Leicester, as if they know what goes on in our town!

We had a petition from 350 people stating that a service was needed for some day care centre somewhere along this route but the other drivers have barely had half a dozen and most of them were from Sandon Road.
I did actually use this bus the other day to get to Stafford Children's Centre (for other purposes), so it is useful!

Went into the Rifleman last night, as its near to my GFs house and it's back open again. Walked in to see some chavs watching the TV, they wait for us to reach the bar and the one says 'I've closed the till. We only get day customers so I close early'. WTF? It was half 10 FFS, and I wanted beer! Obviously wasn't his pub, or he'd care about the profits.

So we went to the tap and spile, which was very nice as always :)

Traffic! Took me over an hour to make a trip from Stafford to Newcastle, normally 35 mins. If I wasn't on a motorbike I'd still be there :grr:

OK, so a truck across half the A500 isn't really anyones particular fault (I think), and people may have been hurt, but I was late!

i feel your pain.. i worked at fedex in newcastle until may, so a trip up and down the A500 was a daily joy for me as well.. the first few times you see burning cars on the roadside is fun, but after a while it starts to lose its charm lol..

I work just round the corner from fedex, usually an alright journey but much worse now school is back regardless of burning wreckage.

Estate agents! Or at least, their websites. Looking through a couple, as relocating casa-del-monkey to pastures new. Some are great, some suck donkey balls. Castle Estates for example force you to register with them just to look at details of a property, without that they won't even tell you where a place is, fook that.

rightmove is proving useful, they actually show more info in a lot of cases than the estate agents own sites. Nicholsons is good though, they seem to be the most useful out there.

I have never got my head around this concept... Estate Agents don't ever seem to have any customer focus in mind, whether its on the phone, the web or in person. They are almost always rude, and when you ask questions they answer them as if you were thick.

And as for websites, how can they not tell you where the property is?! Location is one of the most important things! I think its because they don't want you checking out the properrty without an agent there in case you have a good look and see anything wrong. If you have an agent there constantly selling it to you there's more chance you'll buy / rent the place. I make a habbit of asking the agent to just be quiet and then having a look around.

One rule of thumb in life is to NEVER take advice from someone trying to sell you something ;)

The Castle Estates (or whatever) is a perfect example of a website that hates you! Even if you do register, you don't really get much info. The fact that you have to give them loads of details about yourself, just to find out the property is actually the wrong side of town, takes the piss. I have actually seen 3 properties with Castle that may be suitable, can't be arsed to call them though. Gonna let GDH show me somewhere first, that I have seen lots of photos of and know where it is.

In fact, go through rightmove and click the show local info button, and it takes you to a google earth-like map site (MS Earth?) that lets you view the property from 4 angles. So not only do you know where it is, you can see the size of the garden etc. Even a simple google map would be a benefit. Oh, and also Castle don't seem to let you filter out ones that are already let. I'm sure they'll say most people call them rather than use the website, but some of us are busy with things called jobs during the day. And bitching on forums of course :D
