National Pub & Bar Awards reveals 94 best pubs across the UK

The 94 County Winners will now attend the National Pub & Bar Awards Grand Final to find out who’s the finest their region or even the best pub in the United Kingdom.

The National Pub & Bar Awards has announced the best pubs from each county across the United Kingdom.

A total of 94 pubs from across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have been selected as the best in their area and will now have the chance to be named the best in their region.

The Awards, organised by Pub & Bar magazine, will see the 94 County Winners entered into and invited to the National Pub & Bar Awards Grand Final, which takes place at London’s iconic BAFTA theatre on Tuesday 24 May 2016. On the evening, 12 Regional Winners and one overall National Pub & Bar of the Year will be announced.

From perfect service to product range, aesthetic design or entertainment schedules, the 94 County Winners have been selected by Pub & Bar magazine’s internal judging panel on all of the aspects required to provide ultimate hospitality within the on-trade.

The full list of the 94 County Winners can be found below.

Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine, comments: “These pubs represent all that is great about the modern on-trade. You can only imagine the fantastic variety of operations we have discovered through the judging process – it’s been an absolute pleasure to investigate just how all of these incredible operators run their businesses.

“What’s great about the Awards is that all the attendees of the Grand Final are already winners – we’re very much looking forward to celebrating with everyone at BAFTA in London on 24 May.”

We had a lovely drink here the other evening. Took our dog with us. The staff were lovely and brought a bowl of water for him over as we were sat outside. Nice country pub. Looking forward to the refurb.

Review:
What a contrast to mid-week dining compared to many previous owners! Many times we'd be the only diners and indeed the only ones in the pub but last night there was a real difference with many people enjoying the delicious, excellent quality food but not at previous silly prices! The cold gammon cooked by one of the chef's was a real surprise and comes highly recommended. The service was excellent, both Sophie and Callum are to be congratulated on being attentive and very pleasant - a good team. At last we can be proud to recommend our village pub.

We had a lovely meal here a couple of Saturday's ago. The blonde short haired female manager in the restaurant is really good! Very friendly and attentive. We have been with our dog before too in the week and they are very accommodating bringing him a bowl of water etc.
