Cheerios for breakfast in my Dacha

Drank too much milk need a slasha

Wind so strong I might crasha

The dog needs a bath looks like Gnasha

Ate too many sausages without masha

Just met a sister called Tasha

I may offer to give her a rasher

Or just sip my lager with a dasha

Hello everyone, I work for the yard and just wanted to clear a few things up.
It's business as usual. ... So we can be sold. There are company's looking to buy us, with one in particular looking to make a return to stafford.
Thank you for your time.

The pubs being kept open are the ones that the administrators think are viable and can be sold. The Goodridge in Burton, the Courtyard in Cannock and the Glass Works in Rugeley were closed, the Yard was kept open so clearly the Zolfo Cooper Group think it has a future. I feel sure that the pub co looking to make a return to Stafford are Stonegate and my bet is on them getting it.

Q1. The Yard and the Litten Tree, compare and contrast in not more than 100 words.

I was tempted to use one word but that would be unfair as the Yard isn't a bad place and Stafford's nightlife would be poorer if it closed as it caters for a more younger crowd and there aren't many places for younger people in Stafford as it stands.

Hey everyone sorry I'm a bit late in replying just been a little busy.
Hayley I fully understand your concern about your money as I would be in the same situation, however there is no need to worry. Our administrators are actively trying to find a buyer with stonegate pub company looking the most likely. They have kept us open as we are one of the highest taking sites in the company and last year took over 1million pounds, which considering the size of the place isn't bad at all.

Noah in answer to your question, I worked for stonegate at the litten tree for nearly 4 years and when it shut was acting assistant manager. If stonegate do come back to stafford expecting promising things to happen at the yard.

Have a nice day everyone!

Plus anyone moaning about the yard don't forget it's people's jobs, including myself, on the line and having been made redundant once it's not a nice feeling.

Totally understand. For you and the team at the Yard to achieve a Million Pound turnover during these difficult times is a great achievement. I am sure this will not be overlooked by any sensible investors, who in return for their investment will be looking at a tidy return. Hope it works out well for all of you.

Indeed. I've never been in the Yard, but used to go the the Thursday quizzes in the Litten Tree years ago - we won £1,250 over seven months. I think I'ld be dead if it had stayed going...

..but, I may venture in on this recommendation from a man who knows.
River Sow will freeze before the Yard closes, it's well regarded in the industry as one of the best pub sites in the shires.

As Luke has said jobs are on the line give them some support

£3,000 a day ? I can't even charge that !

Maybe I need to revert back to safe blowing, at least there was a bit of drama in earning a living

Each time i've been in The Yard (and it's not many times) it's been packed, so how this place is not making money, or enough to survive is bafflement, i think it is making money, it's just that the others in the group weren't perhaps, so the doors were closed.

Though, saying that, each time i went to the late great Chambers, it was busy on a Saturday night, but during the week as dead as a Dodo's mojo.

Yeah, the yard is still open so must be operating at a profit. They've cut off the dead wood and will be pimping the others out to prospective buyers.
