good luck to them if the demand is there to keep it open i'm all for it. better than an empty building even if i will probably never use it.

Good to see a new store on Greengate Street, for all the doubters and forumites posting negative comments a downward spiral of decay is inevitable with your fantastic pessimism for the future of retail trade in Stafford, let's just hope no future potential independent retailer uses Stafford Forum as any form of market research or they'll run a mile!

For those of us more optimistic, then with every new store it gives potential investors the confidence that Stafford is a place worth coming and investing time and effort in. Pop up or not - go and buy something and see that shop secured for at least five years, you never know what that pizza cutter could be useful one day!

I'm glad to see a new store opening in Stafford, however I was very disappointed with the store. Having read the reviews on here I was expecting a quirky gadget shop, however it just sells tat that you can get any where else in Stafford. I'm hoping we can attract better stores in Stafford in the former M&S, Co-op and Morrison building.

Made my first foray into the much vaunted Flying Tiger shop this morning. Reminded me of a poor man's IKEA. Full of strange lithe things that you never realised you hadn't got and things that make you realise your life is already complete without them.

Curious pricing structure - labels saying things like '1 for £3', rather than just the perfectly adequate '£3'.

Like IKEA, the shop is laid out like a maze, with one entrance, one exit and only one route through. Unlike IKEA, it is very cramped and the aisles not wide enough for those people who have yet to work out how a maze works and insist on going round it backwards.

The only empty space was near the till - in my ten minutes in the shop I don't think any money changed hands at all.

If they have a short lease with the option of a permanent extension, I think the estate agent would do well to start marketing the vacant unit now.

I ventured in today too and was unfortunately disappointed. It didn't have anything like the stock of the other Tiger shops I've been in and nothing I actually wanted to buy (I'd been hoping for some stocking fillers). I also seemed to go in during a game of musical statues, at least that's what it seemed like with people just randomly stopping dead in the aisles!

I went in there last night, to expand on my burgeoning pizza cutter collection, busiest store I have seen in Stafford at that time of night, what can I say I love scand tat. If we also had a paperchase my life would be complete.

I've just had a wander round - nothing for me really.

I was the only non-staff person in there. they seemed to be struggling manfully to pass the time.
