Yes! We spotted this - although it was about a year or so ago & it wasn't minus a beak (do you mean its beak is grey, rather than missing)..... it appears to be a couple with a Canada goose :strange:

If you Goosle it all those birds have orange beaks. Which confuses

A small squirrel, unusual to see young around here this late in the season, must have been a good year for them.
There are two more just like this one.

I would have to say, after careful consideration and assessment of likely genus that it is almost certainly a squirrel of the small and furry variety. I would ask it but its easy to give squirrels a complex :?: and I don't really want a squirrel on the lose, in my garden, with a complex.

The Flying Scotsman going through Penkridge Station - it actually looked quite small compared with the 66 going in the opposite direction.
