I was expecting to see a long haired hippy type in the driving seat, but it was a little old bloke (although I suppose Jesus would be quite old by now..)

Book Club at the new-ish cinema. Daughter in law pays so much a month and can go watch however many films she wants. I get in free as her carer.
Had a nice couple of hours, pleasant, and funny way to pass the time.

That someone is chopping down trees next to Sainsbugs/ River Sow. From where I'm sat, there is the top of one, all on its ownsome, with the stumps of its comrades all below it.
I can now see the top of Sainsbugs and that tatty building immediately behind it.

... a swarm of bees. Unusually, they were on the ground.

Handily, they were a couple of hundred yards from the local bee enthusiast's abode, so I summoned him to sort out accommodation for them.

I suspect they were moving out from his current herd.

They have been rounded up and moved to another site now.

Yeah, it's shocking to realise how much higher Stafford is than nearby places. Was nearly 10p difference in Cannock a few weeks back.

That's 45p a gallon more - I've bought petrol for a good bit less than that...
