Just been told some left Rugely this week, could be them? Apparently they shat everywhere and left it again, seems to be the pikey modus operandi. Perhaps if they want people to give a shit about them they should stop shitting everywhere and leaving it, makes the dog ban up the park seem ludicrous!

Why on earth would a few caravans up the corner of a car park put you off shoping at Sainsbury's?

Probably because they didn't feel safe with the travellers nearby, maybe they felt there was an increased chance of their car being broken into or being robbed or maybe it is just that inbuilt feeling that a lot of us have that travellers are trouble and best avoided.

Having them there temporarily doesn't bother me too much, but why should my taxes pay to clean up where they can't be bothered to? Even when camping wild for a week I never left a turd unburied, I never left any litter, so why accept it when others do? They will get respect when they deserve respect, and like it or not their actions will form the basis of how people see the next lot.

Cuts both ways, stop pissing people off and maybe they'll stop treating you like scum? Can you name one traveller infestation we've had that didn't involve things like human faeces scattered across the floor afterwards? I remember one in Rickerscote many moons ago (gotta be 20 years now), and it seems like nothing has changed. If they want to be liked why do it?
