I am also a big fan of Karaoke, but you have to admit that a Karaoke Night and a free shot to every customer, jars somewhat with the upmarket style they're attempting.

Whats wrong with Karaoke. Some of my best nights out have been watching people make complete fools of themselves.

The worrying ones are those who think they can sing and take it serious. Then the audition for X factor.
A woman I know and her family go the Killeraoke nights at The Railway Inn at Norton Bridge everytime without fail. They mic hog ALL night, think their youngest daughter is so bloody brilliant at singing, she even has a singing coach! A gag and bash on the head would be better, and cheaper, the main song she kills is My Heart Will Go On - the Titanic one. Her mums favourite song to massacre is Patsy Clines' Crazy,if anyone has ever watched the Only Fools episode where Del hires Raquel and a bloke called Tony to do a performance, then they will understand what I mean.
To cut a very long story short, the daughter was put up for Britains got Talent - she hasn't,and didn't get thru the first audition!
