Is the Viral Lounge down Mill Street? If so its re-opening this weekend under new management, there really nice, a family with previous experience as pub owners, not at all posh and stuck up!

Welcome to The Forum, That-Crazy-Rat-Lady! Interesting username. :P

Do you know the new owners, or have any other insider knowledge? We'd be most interested, if so. :)

I suspect it may be a supply depot/wharehouse for some organisation in Rugeley called Magnifique, having seen a van

What is Magnifique?

Hi, thankyou!
I work in the shop where they purchased there nice new red wallpaper from!
I like a good chat and they introduced themselves! They’re very down to earth and say that they don’t really have an 'angle' at the moment, which way to go with the lounge, they said they have a suggestion box and all comments are welcome!
And they have a drink waiting for me behind the bar :)
I don’t know about insider knowledge but I am very nosy and talk the ears off customers at the tills!

Next time you're chatting, get them to sign-up here; I'm sure everyone round here will have a few suggestions! :D

You mean on Marston Road? Apparently its a hairdressers that is never open, or so the woman in the hairdressers opposite says. Some bloke bought it for his daughters, but it seems reluctant to open.

The van is quite often there on an evening, as if they are at least pretending to do something...

There used be a hairdressers down the Marston Road,I looked at the flat above it just before I found my present hovel.

Vidal Lounge was open last night, we walked past on the way back from Chambers. Doorman greeted us very cheerfully as we past. Looked like there were a few people in there at 9:00pm.

My suggestion would be for them to remove the dark tint from the glass on the windows. In daytime you can't tell whether the place is open or closed.

yeh it is a hairdressers, I knocked on today to see if they were any jobs going and they showed me around. It's fantastic inside, pure luxury. They have done so much work you wouldnt recognise the old bushes! Im looking forward to the opening

nosey parker and darts22 - for the latter a bit overdue.

Please could you put replies to quoted comment after the quote rather than before - it's just better that way.

Darts22 i shall try and find the recent incident that illustrates the point.

I walked past the Vidal Lounge the other night.. rather a shame to see barmaid and doorman in conversation at the bar but no other punters around.. Sadly, it's not my scene but good on someone for giving it a go.. lord knows Stafford needs some new watering holes

Saw a poster stuck to a telephone box in the town proclaiming a Karaoko Night and a free-shot upon entry. This seems like a drastic step down in the clientele they are after, compared to when they first opened.

Whats wrong with Karaoke. Some of my best nights out have been watching people make complete fools of themselves.

The worrying ones are those who think they can sing and take it serious. Then the audition for X factor.

Or the ones who blast out the same song, week in week out.
