Correct. I'd thought of using this inscription on the archway as the clue, but thought it might be too difficult.

That's the lintel from one of the central windows - you can just make out the engraving here - https://www.search.staffspasttrack....D=13559&PageIndex=31&SearchType=2&ThemeID=366 - it wasn't demolished until 1984.

Mmm, it has the look of the sort of thing that might be involved with the Astonfields Balancing Reservoirs, although I didn't think that it was, and a brief, but life-threatening, expedition has confirmed that it seems to be that it isn't.

Other similar locations may need to be investigated yet...

I've never actually seen it from that side, well, not for many years - I did clean out the far side of it about twenty years ago. I thought it might be there, but I couldn't see a reason for the nearest of the railings - doh!
