Just finished spending hours walking the google street view man all the way from J18 to the airport on my diversion route , kindly supplied by @Lucy

Glad to say had a flood free journey to Manchester. Just encountered thick fog up this way

The Rain came through my Conservatory Roof, just in one corner, was quite a puddle. Never happened before, has been dry for the last 13 Years, shows how heavy the rain was.

Got off my train in a short sleeved shirt, no coat, so popped my mobile in my rucksack and thought well I will swim home, phone started ringing and my wife who is a lifesaver offered to drive and pick me up.
