400 petition to keep it open. Used by a lot of elderly and disabled people. I think they are being economical with the truth.

When the Westway closes, where will all the poor folks who have been barred from the Oxleathers, Royal Oak (yes, you can apparently be barred from there!), Rickerscote Arms and Nesbit (see last brackets) try to go for a drink?

Oh, of course. The town.

Keeping the Westway open would be a public service. At least that way, most of the violent, idiotic, tossers would be in one place.

Its a bit of a crap week for some of the residents of Highfields, Westway closing, the Spar closed and 70% of those on incapacity benefit found to be fit for work.

The chippy, chinese, chemist news agents, post office and butchers still trading. Bookies also still open.

A friend of someone on the council
who believed that planning thought the area would have insufficient leasure facilities especially if Highfields club closes
