Our old local chip shop was run by a lovely Greek family who made the most amazing gyros halloumi wraps!

No such thing exists round here so we've attempted our own!

Not too bad if I say so myself!

Really good Turkish last night in Finchley, place we've walked past loads of times. Wish we'd tried it before.

Heading off with some neighbours to the Pavilion in Southport shortly. Their daughter has kindly volunteered to drive us all there and back so we can all have a drink.

Went to look at (and buy) some furniture at Oak Furniture Land in Wednesbury so brought the OH for his first Bradford Arms on the way home. Used to be a haunt for work meals.

Papa John's, because its the only thing available here.... In New Quay, without booking, should have thought that through really...

Yes, really enjoyed it.

That sounds lovely, minus the polenta.... There's not been one time where I've enjoyed polenta!

Sauce was really good and the grilled polenta had a nice 'crust' to it.

Nipped across to Wesley's fishmongers in Southport earlier and got a big bag of mussels. Mussels are one of the few non vegan things that Mrs p will eat. So tonight will be Moules Frites. And as I'll have the fryer on for the frites, banana fritters will be for pud.

Fired the barbecue up. Korean barbecue chicken thighs for me, garlic and herb chicken breasts for Mrs T. New taters and coleslaw.

I am so jealous, you just cannot beat fish & chips by the sea!. They taste 100x better than in land locked Stafford.
