Our old local chip shop was run by a lovely Greek family who made the most amazing gyros halloumi wraps!

No such thing exists round here so we've attempted our own!

Not too bad if I say so myself!

Went to look at (and buy) some furniture at Oak Furniture Land in Wednesbury so brought the OH for his first Bradford Arms on the way home. Used to be a haunt for work meals.

Nipped across to Wesley's fishmongers in Southport earlier and got a big bag of mussels. Mussels are one of the few non vegan things that Mrs p will eat. So tonight will be Moules Frites. And as I'll have the fryer on for the frites, banana fritters will be for pud.

Now where did I put the corkscrew...

Nothing. Had a really nice lunch at Anfield before the match and now we're all stuffed. Might have cheese and crackers later if appetites pick up.
