    Stuffed mushrooms to start.
Beef Wellington, Dauphinoise taters, carrots, beans, leeks and a red wine jus.
Home made melty middle chocolate puddings.
Couple of bottles of decent red.
Gurly should come home more often.

We went to KFC and had a takeaway. Because I wanted one.
Zinger tower burger meal, we went large and blooming well enjoyed it.
It might not be healthy, or what some consider proper food, but I bloody loved it, only complaint is there wasn't enough, I could've had 2 burgers and been very very happy.

Have they got the sticky chicken yet? Bloody love it, usually out in August around the minimes birthday, but not yet this year....

No idea, sorry. Had blinkers on, we only ever have the Zinger burgers.
Place was packed out. Staff were lovely. Can't wait to go again.

A long day at work for me, on my day off.... With the carer still poorly I made this....

Savoury Mince with Cheese Dumplings, served with roast carrots & mashed potatoes. It was surprisingly tasty & we would have it again, but would probably half the quantity for the dumpling mix. Even the carer managed to polish his off....

(I put the mince mix in the slow cooker this morning before work, then just had the dumplings & veg to prepare when I got home, super easy and tasty, proper comfort food).

We had chinese from Essence of the Orient. Lovely food, just found the place to be a bit tatty and unkempt.
The main window of the takeaway bit had paint or plaster that seems to be bubbling on one corner. The outside doesn't appear to have had a lick of paint since the days of Props. All tables inside were empty, half of the restaurant seemed to be in darkness.
The phone never seems to stop ringing, so they're obviously doing a good trade in takeaways.
Seems a shame, place just needs a little bit of tlc.

I expect all but absolutely essential expenditure will be on hold as, like most other eateries, the priority is simply survival at the moment.

I always phone ahead and arrive five minutes after the time I asked for to ensure I spend the least amount of time in any takeaway place.

Pan fried sea bass, dauphinois potatoes and cauliflower.

As soon as I dished up I realised my mistake. It totally lacked colour.

Never mind, it was very tasty.

Or you could say it was all white.
