Just noticed this. I thought he retired?
Nobody retires any more - they just threaten to quit until somebody offers them enough money to make a 'comeback'.

lol i think you should serialise your diary and publish it on the forum.. you could synchronise the dates, for added authenticity, so we would all feel like we had been transported back to the eighties, if only for a moment..

Meself, Im a big fan of Sick Puppies - great Aussie outfit from Bris Vegas if I remember rightly. Also dont mind a bit of Coldplay and James Blunt (music to slit your wrists to my sister reckons but what would she know?)
Staind and Fuel are good shit. Im also dont mind a bit of old school stuff a la Prodigy, Basement Jaxx and Stone Temple Pilots (circa 1992-ish).
Someone mentioned Hubba Bubba... can you still get that in the UK? Amazingly enough it seems to haunt the shelves in our local corner shops. Though must be as old as I am - you never see anyone actually chewing the stuff.

alright alright.

also well into the new arcade fire tune, sounds a bit 50s rockabilly but with a noughties twist.
their last album was the next shiznit.

I still don't understand their appeal. They've been around for ages and all of a sudden the NME and their ilk catch onto the last record and boom they're the next big thing. It's not my cup of tea tbh, comes across as whiney indie rock to me. They try and go for the big sound but it just sounds really contrived.

Anyhoo it would appear I'm in the miniority as the misses loves them as do a lot of my mates.

Grinderman for me. Hasn't been off my headphones for a week now. Old rockers who intend to grow old disgracefully. Sounds a lot of fun and I hope to see them live soon.

Did anyone hear the Stafford Anthem being played in Joxers and the Grapes last night? It was an amazing performance of an amazing song?!

i heard 2 corking tracks on zane lowes show last night when i was in the bath.

the first one i hadnt heard before but was about a white rapper from fulham with mad vaguely operatic vocals on it.

the other i heard a few weeks ago and i think was called summat like 'thou shalt not'.

the tracklistings for last night arent up yet, but ill keep checking through the day.

if i change my mind and cant be arsed...i was in the bath between about 6.45 and 7.45 so you can look for yourselves. (at the tracklistings that is, not at me in the bath)
