Whats the Best & Worst Number Plate you have seen?

Thinking on from the previous post to this 'Do you have a name for your car' and something I spotted recenty...

Worst & Best Number plates...
Saw M400 COW the other day. Made me laugh!
Worst R4PE - Was outraged that should a plate had been allowed, should have been banned (that was about 10 years ago!) so hopefully has been now.

You should see some of the suggestions we get from the DVLA for our new vehicles, highly questionable. Needless to say we avoid those ones.

What about you?? Best and Worst plate?

I'm not surpised.
Quite possibly. Not sure how much deed poll is these days I must say. That would be an interesting scenario based on the number plate above.

3/4 years ago a deed poll cost approximately £30,no idea how much a personalised plate is.

When I worked in Salford one of our regular auction customers had PO0 4 FUN on a vauxhall SUV type thingy.
Always gave me a schoolboyish giggle.

It was a long time ago - and, apparently, it's withdrawn now..

I wonder if it's cheaper to get your name changed to match your number plate..?
you jest, but i know someone who has done this.. her name is Sue, and she bought a car whose reg happened to end in SOO.. consequently, she now spells her name Soo lol..

I've noticed a lot of 11 plates reading DU11 which just reads dull to me, I've even spotted one ending in ULL, does this mean the owner is extremely dull.

I've also noticed a lot of car registrations starting BJ which I'm surprised was allowed!

Its £30 to get your name changed by deed still - my personalised no plate was £400 from dvla, so id go with the deed poll lol.

Hi

Many years ago we used to see a car which regularly towed a horsebox with the number GIJ1 (gee gee).

One ex bike racer had the plate PEN1S.

All the best

I did see M 1 XER on a readymix lorry near Cheadle. There is/was a driving instructor round here whose name I can't quite remember (Plant?), who had various vehicles with approximations to his name on the plates. And all the JCB plates, of course....

Saw BOC 1 on a BOC truck a while ago, the JCB plates were on a batch of mopeds which old man Bamford bought at a remote dealership in Scotland.

Of course, some of us still remember Sir Gerald Nabarro - and wonder who really was driving that time....?

NAB 1 and NAB 2 - but they didn't nab him.....

This was back in the days when politicians weren't all trying to be like each other..
