I see 50CT all the gone to, also L8 JOB which makes me giggle - although yesterday I also spotted L9 JOB which now makes me wonder if they're not all part of the same company & not as funny as I first thought.

It has been said somewhere in the place, L8 JOB is no8 at Westlife Taxis. That one's been going for yrs. There was also a Aerobrights or maybe it was Kaminskis yrs ago that had LIFT5.

On Stychfields car park, in the late 70s, was an Escort, with those briefly-in-existence, "computer-style" plates - it was ***541T - it amused me almost every day.

Not quite as computery as these OCR ones, but the 4 was very H-like - even more so with a bit of black tape.

In the early 70's there was a yellow Triumph Stag in my local village with the reg number O3, that is O for Oscar. Very unusual to see a non standard plate at the time, must be worth a few bob now ?
