Where to buy? (Indian cooking)

wanna see my snake?
After a taster session last week I'm wanting to try a few things, and need some fenugreek leaves. I can find ground, and I can find seed, but no leaves. Anyone know where to look?

alternatively if they dont have what you want, I work in west brom and can pick up exotic ingredients should you need them.

You could call in here on the way home - they cater for a wide range of ethnic groups....

Will have a look, ta :)

Ta very much, thats appreciated. Will try locally first, but if not I may well take you up on that :)

Try the County Store on Mill St.

We tried there, they have a lot more than anyone else we've tried but still no leaves. Not sure how different seeds or ground will taste?

Err, now I'm worried!
Yeah, I would be, as well - if some random bloke on the internet offered to pick up "exotic ingredients" for me in West Brom...

I can vouch for the place on Gaol Road. We need to visit actually, the spice cupboard is getting pretty sparse.

He was locking the door as I came past at 2:30 today, but he may have just been nipping out for a few minutes.

Is this just Asian foods? We (obviously, not I but the hubby) are after some where local that stocks Jamaican spices and food.

I while back there was a stall on the market that sold west Indian food and spices. It may have gone the way of the pet supplies now.

There were several I didn't recognise in Mill Street that looked Jamaican, can't promise though. They also sold things like dried fish which I associate with the area?

Had an idea! Stafford Forum types get sufficiently organised to acquire and run a communal market stall selling dog food, herbs and spices and, er, false boobies is it? Not feeling strong enough to follow that link.

The window graphics in the Gaol Road shop proclaim that they are...

Asian and Careebian Food Retailors.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned to World food aisle in Tescos - as mentioned above the store next to the jet garage on Goal road is good as is the selection in County Stores.

Failing that We've used http://spice-master.com/ to do large scale restocks of our herbs and spices before now.
