It is not a phrase of his making - though i agree it is almost unconscionably vulgar - and a troll, would-be or otherwise, he is not.

Tbf to our dear shoes, i was being a little bit more than an arse - each to their own and all that.

I don't consider it juvenile (much too clever for most), sexist (just don't see why it is ?) and as for abuse seemed a bit tongue in cheek to me and very appropriate.
