That's because a significant proportion of staff simply couldn't give a toss about patients, have no pride in their work, and lack any compassion.

Yes I try not to think along these lines as I'd feel I might as well give up now, people are in such a rush these days they don't have time for others, I don't know what a day to day nurses role consists of but I'm guessing there is an abundance of paperwork involved resulting in duplication and targets to be met if teaching is anything to go by, however you would hope anyone opting for the nursing profession would have some compassion for other people in the first place.

I suspect that, much like teaching, those who go in to make a difference very quickly have to sink or swim. Those who do it just because it's a job find it easier to detach, and hence usually survive longer despite not being best suited for the role.

Just got home from a lovely evening...

Summer Ball at the County show ground organised by Stafford Castle Rotary for Katharine House.

It's so nice to put on a posh frock.....and all for a very good cause.

Well we did it, and despite some interesting hitches on the whole the audience loved it :D So job done and off we go for the next one lol
Got introduced to Postmodern Jukebox today, brilliant take on things. Modern songs re-arranged into different periods of music, thoroughly enjoying it :)
70's soul Backstreet Boys anyone? lol

Have finally concluded a day of much palaver.

Not really on, a Sunday being so palaverful, but at least it is mostly over.
