Sadly, @kyoto49, it seems to be closing...Bought a lovely ring from Granny's Attic. It's my favourite place to buy unusual Gold jewellery! In the summer I bought a fabulous antique pendant, really unusual jewish piece, and this weekend a lovely gold, white gold and diamond ring!
if youre in the market (so to speak) for something gold and a bit different I highly recommend it! Not a large stock, but some nice antique pieces.
So the middle of a brand new shopping centre gets charged less than half what a side street off a dying high Street does? No wonder town is dying!Just noticed that the rates charged for a unit in the Riverside are less than half of those in Mill Street - £125 per sq metre against £260. Units 1-2 and Units 3-4 of the Riverside are, effectively rates free even though they are bigger. Seems there is a bias to me.

If they can't let the old appliance shop with zero rates, it doesn't say a lot for the claim that the new precinct (it's not a Centre) would draw people into the area
It is now 12 months since the new centre opened. Unfortunately it has not brought about a regeneration of the rest of the town centre.
Absolute beginners did not work out but was better than an estate agents, with something soon to be there.
