Let me guess, they're riddled.Lichfield Rd could soon have less trees.
Plans for 10 to be felled at the former Lloyds Bank and 2 felled at Greenhall Hall on the edge of town
Only talking about the trees there the other night as we walked past.Wondering how long it would before brown envelopes would be exchanged to get away with 'mistakenly ' chopping down the trees and compensating with saplings...Let me guess, they're riddled.
Even if they "can't" they will.another tree chopped by someone or two . from Fairfield court .the tree isn't even on their road its actually on Sandon rd 3rd one they have chopped surely people cant just do that

They have been Pollarded, which is not a technique accepted by the Arboricultural industry but stafford council are the rule makers in their own town.A load of trees on Westway appear to have been completely butchered with chain saws. They look a very sorry sight and obviously won't grow back.
Pollarding IS NOT an accepted method in the Arboricultural industry. Those trees are 'butchered' as you call it every two years. It's actually called pruning and is the best thing for the continued well being of the trees. By next summer they will look their usual selves.
There seems to be quite a few prepared to offer the service - e.g. https://www.treesolutions.org.uk/pollardPollarding IS NOT an accepted method in the Arboricultural industry.
As @henryscat posted that almost five years ago how are the Westway trees looking now? They have been Pollarded, which is not a technique accepted by the Arboricultural industry but stafford council are the rule makers in their own town.
They do it to reduce tree debris, which effects the cost of the public area maintenance and also to reduce any potential liability claims.
It IS NOT beneficial to the tree. It causes open wounds which invite disease and foliage clumping on the severed limbs.
No qualified Arborist would undertake this method.
Whatever happened to @Cedar Forestry & Logging LtdNo qualified Arborist would undertake this method.
No idea. Anyway, I thought you said you "knew" him from another forum.Whatever happened to @henryscat ?
