But if we did try it out , I'd need to splash out on a nice big outside one with balcony.
Can't get holiday insurance again now, should have taken the yearly one out again a couple of months ago.
Thanks for the tip on the centre of the ship. Like you I couldn't bear to be stuck in an inside cabin. I like my balconies , space and luxury . Will have a look at what's on offer for a short cruise ....We’d never do an inside cabin, I’d feel too claustrophobic, we always have a balcony. The ships tend to sail at night and it’s wonderful to open your curtains in the morning and see a different view. Or wake early and watch the view as you arrive in a new port.
Wed rather do 10 days in a balcony cabin than a month inside cabin but each to their own.
Regarding the movement, there will be less if you choose a cabin near the centre of the ship.
Hope that you sort the travel insurance out, but in the meantime there's nothing wrong with the UK…..we intend exploring more in the motorhome now that hubby is retired . We rarely visit the same place twice when there are so many places that we haven’t yet explored.
What part of Portugal @Lucy ?Still got some leave to use, so a week in Whitby in November it is. Then I go golfing in Portugal the following weekend.

Don't forget to try the local fish and chips.1) Just read a book “3 things about Elsie“ mainly set in Whitby, made me want to go, so that’s on the motorhome visit list.
Yes, I didn't know one volunteered...1) Just read a book “3 things about Elsie“ mainly set in Whitby, made me want to go, so that’s on the motorhome visit list.
2) One of my Stafford Gatehouse colleagues said she’s off to Portugal golfing with a group of ladies from her golf club, she’s plays at Castle…..is that your group?
We're going the week after I think. Haven't stayed there since I was 8, although I've been for the day a few times.Don't forget to try the local fish and chips.
The annual Goth weekend is 'interesting'.
It's a nice town but I think I've only been to Whitby twice, Camerons in the Acorn during 1984 and a pint in the Duke of York on my honeymoon eight years later.Don't forget to try the local fish and chips.

Yes, I'm rather caution in my old age about unknown beers. There's what looks like an excellent craft beer pub on the road next to the cottage I've rented, but probably not your sort of beer.
