Holidays 2023.

Said she goes for an inside cabin , lower down as less movement.
But if we did try it out , I'd need to splash out on a nice big outside one with balcony.:D

Can't get holiday insurance again now, should have taken the yearly one out again a couple of months ago.

We’d never do an inside cabin, I’d feel too claustrophobic, we always have a balcony. The ships tend to sail at night and it’s wonderful to open your curtains in the morning and see a different view. Or wake early and watch the view as you arrive in a new port.
Wed rather do 10 days in a balcony cabin than a month inside cabin but each to their own.

Regarding the movement, there will be less if you choose a cabin near the centre of the ship.

Hope that you sort the travel insurance out, but in the meantime there's nothing wrong with the UK…..we intend exploring more in the motorhome now that hubby is retired . We rarely visit the same place twice when there are so many places that we haven’t yet explored.

Thanks for the tip on the centre of the ship. Like you I couldn't bear to be stuck in an inside cabin. I like my balconies , space and luxury . Will have a look at what's on offer for a short cruise .... :)

I'm not entirely sure 🤣. There's 17 of us going and I've booked a flight to Faro but not the rest of it.

Oh Vilamoura.

Still got some leave to use, so a week in Whitby in November it is. Then I go golfing in Portugal the following weekend.

1) Just read a book “3 things about Elsie“ mainly set in Whitby, made me want to go, so that’s on the motorhome visit list.

2) One of my Stafford Gatehouse colleagues said she’s off to Portugal golfing with a group of ladies from her golf club, she’s plays at Castle…..is that your group?

Don't forget to try the local fish and chips.
The annual Goth weekend is 'interesting'.

We're going the week after I think. Haven't stayed there since I was 8, although I've been for the day a few times.

My sister is moving for London to York next week so we will visit her on the way back.

It's a nice town but I think I've only been to Whitby twice, Camerons in the Acorn during 1984 and a pint in the Duke of York on my honeymoon eight years later.

There's what looks like an excellent craft beer pub on the road next to the cottage I've rented, but probably not your sort of beer.

Just booked 14 nights in the Caribbean, flying out on Saturday 18th November.
As a treat we'll be turning left when we board the 'plane.
What a lovely treat, those flat beds in business are really special. Enjoy the experience.
Which airline are you traveling with?
