Lying flat out all the time , and looking deathly pale
Also made me realise I should carry some sort of emergency contact details with me when out walking, as well as my phone ( thanks to a post some time ago on this forum, I've got it locked but sons and hubby's numbers continually going across the screen as emergency contacts. No good though if my phone dies)
Good advice, going to get cracking writing mine out to carry around with me . Hubby been slacking carrying his meds alert card around with him as well , especially important being on heart and blood thinning tablets!I have ICE in case of emergency in my fone with both my sons mobile numbers. I also have a medic alert bracelet and I always carry an ICE envelope giving all my personal details + my next of kin details including all the relevant details of who to call if they cant get the first person on the list - It also lists my health condition and the symptoms and there is a list of my medication. Everyone should carry ICE details either on a piece of paper in your purse/wallet or in your phone or both.
Does John Underwood still live there?Sitting in a riverside pub (well there's a surprise) in Andover with a lovely park over the river.
The park/river has geese, moorhens, fish, people throwing balls for dogs, kids playing and oh yes the local pisshead community washing and shaving in the river. Oh well at least they care about their appearance around here
21.15 here and 39 centigrade. Aircon unit on the blink. Tonight, after wine, we shall be sleeping in the car.
Possibly on the A7, but not between Carlisle and Edinburgh...39C!? And I thought 26C was bad. Where on Earth are you that you’ve ended up with those temperatures?

Somewhat related: B&M Kingsmead has still not sorted their heat issue out. They have no aircon in there and it’s a big metal box, with the addition of a load of freezers it’s now a sauna. Apparently some people have already fainted in there and I’m honestly surprised that’s as far as it’s gotten.
It’s been like this for weeks so I don’t think they intend on fixing it.
For the record, Aldi next door is nice and cool
Provence.
ResurrectingThis is my second day in Stafford and I'm yet to hear smth positive from the locals.
Some of us are positive about the place, though I do agree with you, listening to some people you do wonder why they live here. This is my second day in Stafford and I'm yet to hear smth positive from the locals.
"Rolf Harris...something something....they used to hang people here.....erm, why STAFFORD?"
Wish me luck
A much more manageable 37 degrees today with temps back to seasonal norms of 31/32 tomorrow, so looking forward to that.Ahh, South France. That makes a lot of sense now.
I was at The British Transplant Games yesterday. It was extremely hot! Lots of folk especially the kids being bloody amazing and having a great time. Most of the people there wouldn't have been if not for others donating their organs. Please consider doing this, once you are gone you don't need them and you could help others live.
I saw back-to-school stuff advertised somewhere in June! When I went into the Card Factory the other week, the assistant said she had been sorting through the christmas stock that had just come in, and it would be on the shelves in a fortnight from then. I'm still thinking of my summer hols still to come.....Thought I would get in early & order back-to-school uniform now....everything is already out of stock! Grrrrr.
