Made a little detour earlier and drove the stretch of road in both directions. Very little traffic and everything seems logically laid out lights wise. However, I can see where your average Stafford numpty, who got their licence free with a packet of cereal, would be able to make a monumental cockup when turning right into Foregate Street.
Trouble is I don't think a means of traffic management has yet been invented to prevent the terminally stupid, dead from the neck up, ignorant and proud of it, arsehole Stafford motorist, from being able to make a complete clusterfudge of it all.
They've had years to come up with a better system on the A34, joining the Island by the Toyota garage, and still arseholes can't help but get in the wrong lane, then try to kill you by driving into you, as you head towards Newport Road. Then have a go at you because THEY were in the wrong.
Until all traffic lights are equipped with snipers, trained to kill the motoring fuckwit in this town then there is no hope. I was driving in central London last week and the standard of driving was better than in Stafford.
