Had to start back at Mr Sexy Zumba mans class on Valentines day and reclaim 'my spot' right at the front ;) ;)

Had trial run back at zumba for the first time since my fall , doing mostly leg work and as much as arms as I could . Hard work not doing it properly , and looking like a seal on the clappin parts 🦭 😂 with my broken finger still in a cast. But was bloody lovely getting out meeting everyone again .

YAY! The start of gradually getting back to normality ....... ( Last week hospital said Cast / Splint stays on for at least another 4 weeks yet .Can do zumba as long as careful not to get knocked. No lifting with fractured arm for another fortnight. And no aqua classes, swimming or gym for at least another 10 weeks)

No it sounds like it's very popular and sells out very quickly.

A bit like any other gig by a popular/major artist or event where they sell out within minutes of tickets being available.

I would imagine a similar phenomen might occur once people twig on to just how brilliant the Coach is but we may have to wait a while for that one 😂😂😂😂
Well, I'm just back form three days getting round the best of Manchester's pubs and wasn't minded to stop off for a pint in the Coach walking home from Stafford railway station.

Kids brought back an old windows 7 laptop as we had some photos on it which we wanted to keep. On booting it was tortuously slow so decided to double the RAM to 8Gb to replace and double the HD to 500Gb SSD with help from yourtube. With no experience I'm amazed what a difference it has made on booting and opening programs, so now got a workable laptop sadly with only limited Windows 7 comparable programs. Geek for the day though possibly belated by 14 years but I'll take that as normally IT risk averse.

As it was a nice evening, I cycled out the three miles to the pub.

I discovered, when I got there, that I was supposed to be in a quiz team in the other pub there, so I went across the road and discovered that 'my' team had given up on me and filled my place, so I ended up in a team with three others, who I didn't know at all.

The important point about all this is that my new team won, which is all that matters.

My part of the winnings was a presentation set of a bottle of whiskey and two glasses.

As I was on the bike, I required that one of my erstwhile other team was to deliver it to my house for me. A fitting penance for filling my place with such alacrity.

At the end, I hastened across the road, as my coat, etc., was in the other pub. It wasn't necessary to hasten, apparently, as I have only just got home,

That reminds me of being on holiday with my wife and daughter ten years ago.
At Bridport we went in the Ropemakers about tea time, saw there was a quiz night and stayed for it.
We had a great time and I ended up drinking a few pints of Palmers Tally Ho.

Eventually, the lovely big dog I met on my walk wasn't content with my left handed stroking. Was more fascinated by the black cast on my broken right hand , so I put it behind my back. Doggo thinks I'm playing a game so is intent on playing with the new toy I was trying to hide from him. 😂.
He was most disappointed when his owner put the lead back on and spoilt his fun !

Did a 5k walk over the chase with child and hounds to break in some new boots. They're quite stiff, like boots used to be, and it's too early to tell yet if they'll be amazing or awful.
One thing I miss , the chase! Got loads of nice walks around here , but not a patch on Sherbrook Valley and millions of different paths over the chase amongst the deer.

Glad I've trained my left hand to be slightly less than useless these past 5 weeks...
Full pint of Stowford Press Cider , whilst forgetting & being held between thumb and finger on normal hand , just took a dive ....left hand miraculously saved it from spilling a drop. 😁

Didn't work on the expensive lead crystal glass bowl yesterday ( which ended up smashed on the floor) , but where cider is concerned reactions kick in well 😂

When I was little (maybe 4/5) I severely burned my right hand & arm by picking up a pan of boiling water to see what was in it (& pouring it all over my hand & arm) ... You would never know now, no scarring (thank you sdgh) but I learnt to do everything with my left hand, except write....I catch with it, throw with it, everything except writing... It's easy when you have to.

With hubby sleeping off the effects of last night out , I've managed to get the roast dinner prepared & on the go , except peeling the spuds for the mash. Bloody impossible one handed ! ( did try holding the peeler between thumb & finger of right hand , but can't get the force....and stopped trying a sharp knife before I ended up thumbless as well 😂).

Now its either hoping hubby surfaces in time to do them , or getting son to arrive early to do them

Roll on hospital appt in 18 days time when I'm hopefully going to be told splint/ cast can come off ....

Not if you have a woodworking plane upside down on your lap.

I don't peel mine for mash usually. More fibre etc. Only had one complaint once and they never did again after I invited them to peel the spuds themselves... It's an option, should no one want to help :P

These aren't looking so good and need the eyes etc removing, or I would have just boiled in skins. ( hubby just grabs a bag when out shopping himself , without looking at state of them ) .
I've already bunged the remaining nice 2 big jacket ones , that I picked myself , into the oven same time as the chicken ready for tomorrow's tea.

And luckily I got up to put the ' roast in bag' chicken in , as it isn"t a roast in bag one as he thought he'd grabbed off the shelf!
Left to him we'd have ended up with plastic coated chicken
( After the pink roast chicken of the other Sunday lunch he'd been left to do for us, I'm taking charge!!! Especially as son & I sat down expecting roast chicken veg & gravy etc as well. Only to find it was undercooked chicken , a few chips & millions of peas :o)

The training has begun under better supervision since!

My intact legs are the only things getting me through these 8 weeks. Got quite clever using my feet & knees as replacement arms & hands.Don't fancy chopping those off as well 😂
( I did have brief attempt with electric knife as well , but soon gave up not wanting another visit to A& E)

If I was you, that useless husband of yours would not have intact legs....I'd have kneecapped him weeks ago.
