Does anybody else remember Aldi's plans, many years ago, for a store behind the Top of the World? That was allegedly scuppered by traffic considerations on Newport Road - then Tesco appeared.Whilst clearly Aldi need to sort this out, am I the only one who thinks those members of the planning committee quoted in the article come across as a bunch of hypocritical self-important arseholes?
Let's make a huge fuss about a hedge, but do bugger all about Doxey Marshes being built on by Lord Dickhead!

Some people may be more 'in' than others?

Shotgun - too hard to hit a bird in flight with a rifle.I'm sure Lord Stafford would be down there with a rifle shooting them as they flew in if he thought he could make a quid out of it.

I think that it would take rather more than half the skill out..Never felt the need to try, but doesn't that take half the skill out of it?
Just remembered, blood sports aren't about skill.
How about a new 'sport', involving soaking wealthy land owners in aniseed and eau de fox and then chasing them with horses and hounds?
I'd like to suggest to Aldi that they don't ever use this building company again - perhaps that might bring home to the builders' that they are not above Planning Regulations!Aldi told to buck up ideas over hedge and trees http://m.staffordshirenewsletter.co...as-hedge-row/story-28723123-detail/story.html
I think you'll find Aldi won't give a Fcuk.I'd like to suggest to Aldi that they don't ever use this building company again - perhaps that might bring home to the builders' that they are not above Planning Regulations!
I think you'll find ALDI will give them bonuses for dealing so effectively with a totally useless planning department.
