summer this yeah if i pay for the renewal i will get it early but by paying for the update on my dev liscence i only lasts for a year hmmm not kinda of sure if it is worth the dev approach for the year just so i can now develop for the mac book store the apps i ever made were to help peeps with networking etc ie geeks, the apple approach is alright but is it worth peeps who move away my answer is no. but i do look forward to the update just the same.

£20.99 is an absolute bargain.

Thats a definite purchase next month. Any idea on system requirements? Should run ok on a 2010 Macbook I would've thought surely.

You can install Lion on ALL your Macs at a cost of £20.99. Just open the Mac App Store on each computer and download and install.

Your Macbook should be ok.

Apple website said:
Your Mac must have an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 or Xeon processor to run Lion. Find out if your current Mac has one of these processors by clicking the Apple icon at the top left of your screen, then choosing About This Mac.

no, as big-blue-wold says, you pay £20.99 once and you can then "sync" it across (i.e. download it to and install it on) all your macs, up to a total of 10 (i think)..

the paradigm apple is moving towards with the whole icloud thing is that you buy something once, and it is available everywhere, on all your devices.. this means you buy a song or app on itunes and it is instantly sync'ed with all your devices.. they're doing the same with lion - buy it once, install it on all your macs..

edit: so the purchase won't be locked to a MAC address i don't think, just to your apple account..
