Oooohhhh I know, I meant as in.....

Me? Make something? Noway, that's what the carer is for..... Unless we're talking bird tables, he's not allowed to make them, you can land planes on them....
Not after last time...

A few weeks back, on a whim, I picked up a little LED string in Lidl, being sold off at 99c, complete with a pair of AA cells.

I've been running them on a pair of rechargeable AAs, as a test.

Apart from On and Off, there is a third switch setting that has them on for six hours, then off for eighteen and repeating daily, whilst the power source lasts - they are currently on the sixteenth cycle of that now, which is rather longer that I thought they might run on rechargeable AAs.

Today, I drilled a hole in a bottle and threaded them in, for a super-trendy light display.

The bottle was free (even when it was full) and so, for 99c and ten minutes work, I have this - and I still also have the 'real' batteries that came with it.

Fully prepared for next Christmas.

Further to all the free Samsung earbuds before xmas (cashback received for half of them, just waiting on the rest but told it's coming) there is now a deal on TVs and soundbars. Not quite free, but after cashback you can get 3 of these £300 soundbars and subs for £200. Sell one for £150 easily on ebay, keep the other 2 for £50 or sell the lot for £250 profit. Can probably get more than £150 each if you do sell them, but they'd sell quick for that price.

Downside is, as before, takes over a month to get the cashback.

EDIT: A link to the offer may help!

Had an advert pop up just now saying Tesco are selling 1litre bottles of Bailey's for £12 until 14th when you use a Clubcard.

There are reductions on some wines as well.

Finally received the cashback on the buds, due to a few interesting developments I also ended up in profit by £370 without even selling any! Gave several as gifts, still got a few.

Onto the soundbars, found a place selling the model up for £333 (everywhere else 400+) but not eligible for cashback. Got AO to price match, 1k for 3, get 700 back eventually and easily sell one for £250 making mine £25 each.

Having been impressed by the system running for 16 days, imagine my surprise now, when it is currently on the 32nd cycle, meaning that it may well be reliably expected to run for a month. I'll let it run on to a 'stop' now, out of interest.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Did you have to drill through the bottle?

Yes, for a neat cable entry.

On the side, just above the base.

I did make a 'clever mistake' - I carefully measured the LED diameter, so I could drill the smallest hole - then I found that, after the first LED had entered the bottle, all the subsequent ones had to get through the hole with the wire alongside them - so, I had to open it up a bit then.

Poundstretcher are doing 50% off everything in the Stafford store.

I think other Poundstretcher stores are doing the same but the girl on the till couldn't confirm which ones.

But half the prices have gone up! Still cheaper overall but for example something I used to buy at 79p was now £1.29.

Cinnabon is now listed on the Too Good To Go app... Its pricey compared to the others but we thought we'd try it out. This is what £5.40 got us today....
