We opened a savings account with them with a nil amount ( even though their paperwork said minimum £1 and she insisted we couldn't give her any money that day!). Took a few months and several phone calls for them to actually accept us as customers. Paperwork finally came through, but lost all confidence with them now and our balance still remains at nil. Opened a new account elsewhere who welcomed our custom.

Staffordshire police have today been issuing fines to motorists who are parked on the grass verges along Blackheath Lane for causing obstruction (preventing pedestrian access).

There used to be huge issues there forty years ago, in the days of the "big bands" at the Showground.

A mate of mine got a ticket for parking where the filter road is now when either Boston* or Kansas* were playing, but they wrote an X instead of a K in the reg number. He agonised for ages over paying it...
