I'm trying to settle an argument here, and this is the best knowledge base I could think of. What are those pies, that are like pork pies but have a whole hardboiled egg placed centrally within the meat? Wiki-pie-dia no use. If you say Scotch Egg, I'll kill your family.

A variation on the pork pie is the gala pie which is a pork pie with a hard boiled egg in the centre. Gala pies are often baked in long, loaf-type tins allowing each slice of pie to contain a slice of egg

The buffet ball?

I demand to know more. This sounds like it could be awesome. I'm envisaging a large plastic ball, filled with quiches, vol au vents, sausages on sticks, cold pizza, cake and the like, which you then climb inside and roll about in, eating buffet as you go. I guess you'd have to remove the sticks from the sausages. You could get loads of balls and have races where the winner is the person who goes the furthest AND eats the most. Imagine the spectacle....

Is this what you had in mind or am I way off?

I call bullshit. This would require a long, loaf length egg to ensure a fair amount in each slice. It's crimes against nature like that which put me off meat.
