Hope all goes well :) (I remember when we got our keys . Was supposed to be picking them up in my lunch break, but I was so excited hopping around the office all morning saying "I can't wait! I can't wait.. " that the boss let me go early )

Well this is going as about as well as the whole move has gone!
Have rung and text the vendors and they haven't replied!
I am soooo not happy!
Have emailed solicitors saying 'I want the keys to my house NOW!'

I remember when I got the keys to this place, so excited at the thought of my own little home at last. Didn't get in here till gone 3pm, the money and everything else had gone thru hrs before. The woman I had bought off was using the tiniest van possible, and was still packing stuff at midday.
Then! I finally got the keys, moved my stuff in, and at last was able to have a really good look round. My heart sank, there was at least a yrs muck everywhere. Cobwebs you could've hung yrsen from, carpet were full of fleas. Took me 2 weeks of solid cleaning every night after work to shift all the dirt. It int spotless now, but at least it's my dirt.

Well after much more faff we FINALLY got the keys in the afternoon - again it boiled down to the vendors lack of communication and stupidity!

But we're in! Its so much bigger than I remember (which is good I suppose!)

Your right Glam - its pretty filthy and full of their muck!

As they were moving the last of their boxes I started ripping the black velor wallpaper (ooh yeah..) off in the living room -
Poor bloke started cringing and wailed 'That a £50 a roll!' What do you say to that? Sorry??

Anyway 4 hours later and I have complete stripped the bedroom!

So excited! I grew up in a mirage of beige - so looking forward to injecting some hideous eye watering colour into every room!

Thankyou all for putting up with me and giving me great advice!

I know a lot of people said to walk away (at almost every point of the disastrous move!)

But I'm so glad I stuck with it! Its just such a great house, so much room and potential!

Where are you putting the rattys while you paint? Won't the paint fumes affect them? x
