Just seen plans being drawn up for a 2 week circuit breaker after Xmas. No indoor mixing, rule of 6 only outdoors , and pubs & restaurants outdoor only.

That's mine & sons birthday plans on 2nd & 9th Jan f**cked up yet again!

Hospitality where I am will be shut from 8pm from Monday onwards, probably to the end of January.

Mine is on the 10th Jan so I feel your pain.

To be honest, I'm used to my birthday plans being scuppered by every bastard I know doing "Dryanuary" rather than Covid! XD

Enjoying a drop of red.
Popped into Stafford this morning before going up to Formby. Oh the contrast...

Stafford seemed to have about 40% of the people in shops so ill that they are exempt from wearing facemasks. Many people also have no idea of the concept of personal space. So I got the hell out of it.

Formby centre seems to have near 100% compliance with people being somewhat more considerate of others.

I definitely got laughed at by a middle aged bloke in Tesco who wasn't wearing one, I may have slightly shook my head as he walked past mind you. Interestingly enough his wife was wearing one.
I know what I'd have told him!

There was one in stone last year wearing a mask that said "if you can read this you're too effing close", her partner couldn't be bothered to wear one though.

I try not to shop in Stafford anymore unless essential.

It must just be a weekend thing! I've mentioned before but every time I've been into town this month the masked are the vast majority, I've only seen a handful of people without over 5-6 weekday trips.

The current administration has a large number of regulars who are subversive.

Namely 1 , Steve Baker. a most scary individual . Possibly in 30s Germany he would have propelled himself towards the upper echelons of the Reich....

He is not alone......
