And on it goes...
It feels like there's a stash of incriminating evidence stored away somewhere by those on the inside who want Boris out, being leaked bit by bit to see which will be the one to topple him, like a massive game of Buckaroo.

So the gig I skipped on Wednesday has, it turns out, proven to be a bit of a spreader event as loads of people in the FB group have reported testing positive.

One thing everyone has also mentioned is that security where not checking Covid Passes on the door.

This is partly why I've been so cautious about gigs, I think the measures would probably make them relatively safe if a) everyone attending abided by them and b) every venue enforced them but there's no confidence in this happening whatsoever.

Even at Bristol, where I escaped without catching Covid, the staff barely glanced at my pass and didn't scan the code.

Absolute joke.
Bit of a joke that it's either a covid passport , or proof of a negative Lft test required for entry.
As you can scan test strip code and report a negative result , no matter what it is , and then receive a text/ email as proof just doesn't make sense

Read that they are now asking not to take
tests unless actually going to meet people that day, as shortage of tests being available.

Our local pharmacy isn't able to get hold of tests and getting abuse from people not believing they haven't got any.

I've lost 2 friends this past year, to old age and cancer . They weren't allowed visitors or to go out all that time.
The friend with cancer could have been treated , but rather than seeing GP at first , was mis-diagnosed via phone appointment.
Then once escalated several operations cancelled , due to covid, so it spread to other organs so eventually becoming terminal. :( She spent the last year of her life in agony , but not able to see anyone because told covid restrictions banned it" to keep her safe". And to keep her safe no visitors, and her husband couldn't go anywhere incase he brought covid into the house.

Same with my elderly neighbours. Stayed indoors with no visitors, as told even though restrictions had lifted their conditions meant they still had to shield. He died of old age conditions after not seeing their son and daughter for over a year ,cus they weren't allowed out of Wales! And when they were allowed out of Welsh restrictions , couldn't see parents properly as told shielding with serious health problems, so when they did come they just stood outside masked up.

All for bloody what??

They and their families might as well have ignored all this so called ' shielding' shit and enjoyed some time with their families in the last years of their lives.

We've towed the line and stuck rigidly to the rules since the start, had our jabs and continued to do everything we can to keep us and others safe.

But just can't see any end to it now in my lifetime . 😕

Boris is known to use people and discard them, any clever person who worked for him would be stashing evidence. I'd have said Cummings but he's taken his time if so.

Apparently people have worked out it was taken from the chancellor’s private office

Indeed.

And unfortunately it'll mean lots of people ignore any new restrictions. But it's not them you should listen to, it's Chris Whitty and JVT.

I don't think Blow Job is a follower of the phrase: 'The Buck Stops Here.' Coined by President Truman (I think) who had a sign made of it placed on his desk. :|

Stuff that you hear

Efficacy % refers to how much lower the risk of infection was found to be in the vaccinated group compared to the placebo group, during trials.

37-fold ( Moderna booster quoted today) is an absolute measure of the level of antibodies in a vaccinated individual.

Effectiveness is a broader metric

Among other things, the number of doses has an effect on it.
So if a vaccine has 80% efficacy with one dose. This means the risk goes down to 20%.
Then you take another dose (assuming no drop in efficacy of the first dose meanwhile) which further has an efficacy of 80%.

Your risk is now 20% of 20%

ie. Only 4%.

Stuff that not everyone will fully understand

Boris announces that he won't hesitate to take action, whilst announcing that he is hesitating to take action.
He said they are now going to “constantly monitor the scientific data” & won’t rule out taking action as & when necessary.
I thought they would have been doing that right from the start. (If only so they could plan their illicit “office meetings”)
