Enjoying a drop of red.
Not sure how saying that everyone has a right to an opinion & free speech, & that someone doesn't discriminate between religions is unpleasent.....but, each to their own.....
It was the tone of the reply, not that I feel the slightest need to justify myself :)

I feel I do not need to reply! My original comment, your post, the subsequent replies, say more than anything I could add! (Oops he has! Ed ) I will not be starting a slanging match! So for me, the subject is closed! ;)

Went to Vivere on Friday evening for a family birthday. Staff we very good, food was nice and reasonable priced. We will be returning and/or using the takeaway but perhaps not on the same evening!

I've heard really good things about Vivere
It's always been good whenever I've been there.

They may have suffered a bit during the onslaught of the roadworks.

I remember a few nights when they had a hydraulic breaker feet from the front door...

One place I think is brilliant is Theo's cafe. It's excellent, spotlessly clean and does quality food with good prices. They also do healthy option grilled breakfasts (Slimming World friendly) for those that want it.
Definitely thumbs up :bravo:

Where is Theo's?
In the White House - by the mini-roundabout at the end of Chapel Street.

Next-door to the Oatcakes and Milkshakes place. Pictured below, when the cash-for-clumsiness solicitors were still next-door.

Eee, I can remember when it was the Espresso Cafe, many, many moons ago!
If memory serves me well, they didn't really do espresso's; but hey, it was a few years ago! ;)

Was a firefighter, when the new place had a fire, but it was still a few years ago! Not my watch! Little bit of damage, more cosmetic than anything!

A point for the spelling of "Espresso".

There were people on Facebook still demanding that it was "Expresso", even in the face of photographs showing the sign above the windows

How do I edit this?
The continuing lack of appreciation for my obvious talents on this thread continues to disappoint me.

One day, Withnail, one day...

I was assisted by a very helpful and not a little good looking fellow in one establishment a couple of weeks back. His saintly patience at me losing crucial bits of paperwork was matched only by his impressive ability to hold a complex conversation with one eye still on the cycle racing ;)

I wonder who on earth that could be? Was he a handsome chap with sparkley blue eyes & a hatred of the missuse of the word 'OF'?

I’ve had to go out and have quite a few cocktails for the last few months, my daughter makes me. She loves revolution and has a card that gives us two for one cocktails outside of the happy hour so it’s' sort of a cheap night out if you want to drink nice cocktails.

Spoons and butlers do them at more reasonable prices, but there is more choice at revolution but the poor service puts me off the place

We usually go when the place is not busy, there is a notice saying wait to be seated, we wait and it takes ages for someone to come, the first thing they ask is are you eating and if you say no. your told you can sit in this area and go to the bar to order drinks.

Ok fine, I could have done that without the wait and without being told where I could sit. But then the bar experience is the part that starts to annoy me. I usually have to wait, no acknowledgement that they will be with you in a minute, because they are too busy chatting to a colleague I have actually been told ‘you’ll have to wait.’ Then I ask for a cocktail and the bar person says Oh I’ve never made one of them, I start to wonder what I’ll get in my cocktail.

Then the part that really really annoys me is when I go to pay and she tells me to come down to the till to pay which is half way down the bar from where I am standing. What happened to bar staff doing the leg work behind the bar, are customer now expected to stand next to a till. Am I just being a grumpy old woman?

Skill point to the guy in Apacella today. :up:Even modelled the suit and posed for photos in it for me to send to son, as he's about the same build ( I hope he is now , haven't seen him for a while :D).
Said he'd save it for me until son arrives tomorrow to try it on and see if he likes it.

I went in several shops today, but this was the only one that seemed to appreciate me walking through the doors!
