Great advice provided again at Fishworld this afternoon, shame though to see signs on the doors offering the business for sale....

Skill points to Peter Rogers in Mill Street . Excellent and friendly service for passport photos, both for mine on tuesday and hubbys today . Got there early before they were due to open at 9am , already open and photos sorted in minutes. £1 off each for using the Stafford Town Card as well :)
(Just a shame they couldn't photoshop mine to make me look a lot prettier ....being impatient to get my application done and dusted, walked down to get it done and it started snowing , so arrived with red nose, red cheeks, red chin, and 'hat' hair . )

That's where we always go for passport & other I'd photos. I can't understand why anyone uses photo booths these days.
P. S. Just remembered, we actually took our own digital photos & downloaded them for our passports about 2 years ago.

Cost and convenience are the main ones.

It doesn't really cost that much more at Peter Rogers (at least not when I used them last). The big advantage is they'll take quite a few pics till you have one you're happy with & that complies with passport requirements.
They're particularly good for kid's photos. Anyone ever tried getting a toddler's passport photo from a booth.

Had our last ones done there, whole family. Sick of poor ones in booths, ending up making mulipal ones, so it eventually costing you more! Pose view result, & retake till you happy with it!

(Surprised he was ever happy , can't make a silk puse out of sow's ear!!! ;) Ed)

I had to laugh at "KFC's bird-brained decision has caused untold misery to customers, ...."

What does it take to get an estate agents to respond??? Trying and failing to get details of a house and arrange a viewing. The flan is to visit them tonight and see if I can actually get a response face to face.

I fully agree with you. To put a flan in the face of a local estate agent, is pure genius. Best of luck to you.

Estate Agents can be very hit and miss in terms of responsiveness I find. Which one is it?

I am going to visit them today so laying off being over critical and naming them until then. I have mentioned them on a different thread though
