Do you think this is because male teachers aren't employed or because many males choose not to go into primary teaching? There is a element of assisting little one's with runny noses, tears and cutting up food at meal times, unlike in secondary, this could be something that doesn't appeal to everyone, rather than there being no job opportunities for men. I teach in secondary and there seems to be quite a balanced mix of male and female, with men choosing D&T IT Art and Sports.tek-monkey said:Still only 12%, and a quarter of all primary schools have no male teachers at all. John wheeldon have at least one though, and he is very good by all accounts.Withnail said:More than you might think, and even more are keen to join them.tek-monkey said:How many men are primary school teachers?
