Nope, we did as said above. Log everything with the ombudsman, ask for recordings of all calls from them. Every time you receive a call make a note of the date/time and length of call. If possible record incoming calls too yourself, always start any conversation that they initiate with 'Sorry, please wait a second while I start the recording.....'. Do not talk to them at all until started, if they have already said anything ask them to repeat it as you didn't catch it.

On my mobile (android) I use one just called Call Recorder (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=polis.app.callrecorder&hl=en), works great on my Sony Z1 but not on my partners Galaxy Ace so we had to use a different one on that.

Just logged it with ombudsman also Gteq asked me to send them corrispondance so I have copied them what I have previously sent and received from Atlas and even they said that the recording should have been released to me not offered down the phone. Gteq said they will phone me back but we will see.

Keep pushing with GTEQ but don't stop with the ombudsman, you need everything logged with them regardless of what anyone else tells you.

Yea I contacted ombudsman and let them know what was happening Gteq phoned back and said there was nothing they could do as it wasn't them I had a contract with but said they would email the MD of atlas and tell him to phone me to resolve this and also provide a copy of the phone call contract to which I said that it would probably be pointless as I have asked for all this before but he said to email back if I didn't here anything within 24 hours. But I am really not expecting them to call and sort anything.
By the way Tek-monkey did you manage to keep your number when you changed back to talk talk and also are Atlas still trying to get money off you

We didn't get a solicitor in the end, my OHs insurance only covered her getting sued not going after twats in suits for being dodgy. We just kept up pressure on the ombudsman and GTEQ (pretty much ignoring Atlas, they are proven liars so why bother?), and when we did get calls off Atlas made sure they knew we were recording them. They act very differently when recorded, they flat out refused to talk to me even if my OH said it was OK and then hung up. The call recorder I have on my phone always records every call, so you don't have to remember to activate it.

I did also post on GTEQs facebook page, I posted on a few other pages owned by the David Plum too and generally called them scamming bastards. Once blocked from the pages I had a few mates do the same, just for a laugh.

I will say through all this talktalk were great, I'd have no reservations in recommending them to anybody after all the help they've been. True they couldn't have stopped the transferals, but they could have easily charged us for breaking contract (numerous times!) and were happy to waive everything for us to stay with them.

I am going to get a solicitor to be safe I think then should be able to claim the money back from them if I inform the ombudsman

Spoke too soon! They just called my OH threatening to cut her off if she didn't pay up, she pointed out that she was now with a different provider but he said he could still do it. She said she'd happily see him in court and he said he'd just send the bailiffs round. When she pointed out he had no evidence a debt existed he said he didn't need it. Be fun when the bailiffs come round as they have no legal right to be there so police can be involved for trespassing and intimidation charges. She told him she was recording the conversation then he accused her of breaking the law because she didn't tell him! Which by the way is a lie, its perfectly legal for your own records it only becomes illegal when shared with a third party.

Seriously, these guys are complete fucktards! They are just trying to bully people into paying up, they don't even know the law. Anyone fancy a night out in Blackpool briefly interrupted by the aforementioned game of cluedo? ;)

Yea after emailing Gteq today and telling them I've heard nothing from Atlas I got an email from Atlas saying they are going to upgrade me to unlimited internet to which I replied thank you but I don not want anything to do with your company and wish to be with BT got no reply to that and told them it's in the hands of the ombudsman.

Lol, dare I ask what they are charging you for? One of our bills included insurance that was never discussed, is someone going to steal the landlines ffs?

Bunch of tossers, set the solicitor on them. Companies house hold an alleged address should you wish to contact him at home, only costs a quid but I'll happily send you a copy. Not had it verified yet but it's still on the cards, a mate is heading up there next month so if free will do some recon.

Well get your mate to call round and verify somehow and make his address public on the net. Im sure theres plenty of people willing to hire a few unsavouries to pay him a visit. I honestly dont know how you have kept your cool and not gone to the business address and caused some damage. I dont think i could stop myself.

i've had a similar bad experience with them Sim Only, part of Atlas. I've contact CISAS and they have made a decision in my favour, though I have to go back to them, plus I don't think they will pay the compensation CISAS has told them. Keep me posted as they still have not reconnected our services nearly 3 months after being cut off.

Would that, by any chance, happen to be:

118 Forest Drive
Lytham
Lancashire
FY8 4PS

I'll let you have that one in my 50% off sale - you owe me 50p :)
