Does anyone need help?

If anyone is self isolating , or just needs a dog walking at anytime , I'd be more than happy to come and give them a good walk. Been pounding the streets on my own for hours everyday , and would be so much more enjoyable with a friendly pooch alongside.

My friend volunteers for this charity and she walks a dog for an elderly lady that is no longer able to do it herself.
Might be something to think about @staffordjas if you want to walk a dog but don’t want the commitment of owning a dog.

Is everyone ok? Having a rough time of it at work at the moment, due to the ward dynamics. If I've been slapped once already this week, I've been slapped a dozen times.
@littleme - how's your back me duck? xx

Gosh @Glam, that's what you call having a rough time at work!
Also been kicked. thumped, had my hair pulled, that was just by attempting to get someone in the shower. We have a duty of care, which unfortunately means they have to be helped to have a shower ever once in a while. Plus side, we discharged a lovely man to a nursing home yesterday. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and said he'd miss me. So it int always a rough time x

Sad to hear its rubbish at work :(

It's rubbish here to, the pain is terrible, everyone huffs of I ask them to do anything, I'm fed up of arguments with the carer, who thinks it's as easy as going back to the Dr's (no point, the good drugs make me throw up, the diazipam does nothing, I know it just takes time & exercises to become less painful).

The only relief I get is when asleep... Face down!

I'm desperation I ordered this thing yesterday, it came this morning.... Its flipping uncomfortable and there website doesn't work.... Doesn't give me much hope.

It's a shame you can't see the Physio we have at work, he is worth his little body weight in gold. When I had a bad back, through being mauled by a lady with Dementia, he showed me some exercises to do and it really helped. The Physio I spoke to on the telephone was a complete waste of time, how yr meant diagnose someone over the telephone is way beyond me!

I’ve had a few sessions with Martin Earley over the years. He’s a very good physio but he works from home at Hilderstone. It’s been a couple of years since my last visit & I don’t know how he’s working now with all the restrictions. He’s got to be worth a call. The number I’ve got is 01889 505344.
P. S. Several of my family have used him over the years ranging from my then 17 year old son following a rugby injury to my now 91 year old mum in law. All have had satisfactory results.

I've been having telephone physio for the last year, having only seen my Dr's physio I was referred to grey friars, but it was just as lockdown started so all my appointments were over the phone.

I did this on the 13th May, and managed to see my Dr straight away (I really did see her!), but my physio appointment the same day was again over the phone... I've phoned the Dr's twice since to say I haven't received my new exercises, but still nothing.

I will look him up thank you, & see if he can actually 'see' people, although then there's the cost..... I don't even want to think what my next paycheck will be after having so much time off.

I think my last session was £20 but he’s very honest. My wife went to him with a highly neck ache & after checking her over he told her she was wasting her money as it would go with a few excercises. He didn’t charge her at all.

Oooh that's a lot more reasonable than I thought it would be!

I think I put this somewhere else but Nicky Snazell pain clinic at Wolseley Bridge comes very highly recommended.

She will work out whether your pain is psychological, whether you need chiropractic treatment or physio treatment or something else. She treats the cause apparently.

I don’t think she’s cheap, maybe £80, but I honestly think where pain is concerned and where it’s impacting on your life then it needs sorting out. I know people that have been just twice but got sorted out.

Find the money from somewhere even if it means cutting back on something else.
