Dog poo

I remember the white dog logs and im 33. They were everywhere when I were a lad. Back in the day there were dogs round the neighbourhood that just went out for the day unaccompanied by an owner and went wherever they chose to. Most of them were known to all the kids by name.they would walk up for a fuss and then carry on like they were off to the shop to pick up 10 fags. Looking back now I wonder where they all went for the day, must have been some seedy dog club where they all met up for a shag. It was a frequent occurance to see a couple of dogs fornicating in the street. All the kids would chase em and the female would do a runner dragging the male yelping behind it. I remember being in the car with my old dear once amd drove past an alsation rooting a yorkshire terrier. Poor sod.

They went dogging which appears to be what some humans do !

From Boro Council's tweets:

"Stafford recognised as leader in anti-fouling initiatives."

Something to be proud about at last.

@StaffordBC is taking targeting dog owners who don’t clear up their pet’s mess to a whole new level

I don't think this is serious at all
Oh, ye of little faith.

It would be interesting to know how many they've bought - how often they will be in use - how many people actually get caught between 4pm and 5pm anyway, which seems likely to be the only dark period that they'll ever be used in - etc...?

Good. Im sick of the dirty bastards with their stinking dogs. I live at rowley bank and theres constantly dog shit all over the paths from the scuzzy twats who take their dog to rowley park. My 5 year old lad loves going on his bike or scooter when we go for a walk and we're constanly dancing around dog shit. Im honestly sick to death of it. Last week i was pushing a pram with my 1 year old daughter in it through the town centre and we rolled through dog shit! All on the wheels and foot muff. Had to use baby wipes to clean it up so we could put it in the boot of the car to go home. I hope the council catch every last one of em and shame them in the paper.

As a dog owner it disgusts me that people do not clear up after their dogs.

What also annoys me is the dog owners who leave the bags hanging from trees.

We have bags attached to our lead. Hopefully it won't be long that they make it compulsory for dog owners to carry the means to pick up any deposit from their dog.

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
Dog owners should take their dogs out in wheelbarrows full of top soil

Fenced off so the stooling is not visible

And carry tins of air spray

That, and a shovel and a hose

And then only between 3.00am and 4.00am

Which I think you will all agree is fair enough?

I have suggested before that, particularly at this time of year, dog owners might be supplied with festively decorated bags and encouraged to only hang them in evergreen trees.

What I was getting at was the reasons why they are so obsessive to get it cleaned up. Even resorting to using RIPA to spy on people.

1. It can cause blindness if you get some in your eye.

2. It's not pleasant to step in.

But at the same time, it's not much fun being flattened by a car or motorcycle, yet I hear people racing around the roads near me every night (A34 wildwood), pillocks doing 70MPH on their superbikes. My point being there's a serious lack of road safety enforcement in Stafford and people have died, how many people have lost their sight due to dog poo, give me the numbers?

(ps. I always clean up after my dogs, I even wear a head light during the dark months).

SBC have the authority and powers to enforce the dog regulations as part of their Environmental Health duties - speeding is a Police matter.
