I've already cast my votes. I got to choose two from 2 Conservatives, 2 Green and 1 Labour.

"Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.
And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there?
Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression.
And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit,
you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.
How did this happen? Who's to blame?
Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable,
but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror."

I have no idea who is standing, and for which party. My area seems no worse than others in Stafford, so either the current lot are OK or everyone is crap?

I'll still go and vote, but solely to go against conservatives, no real thought behind it.

I think I have all but one of the local leaflets through my door.
The Conservative on stood out! Very basic slim flyer with not much info and even the contact section only had an indicator to the Facebook page, while 2 contact fields still said "Required" so I thought that was a huge own goal from a marketing point of view.
With Greens holding our seat and Labour possibly strengthening, plus Independents thrown into the mix, I can see Tories getting a low number in our particular area.

The glue on these envelopes for postal votes is bloody terrible…

Also may I just say how much I hate lick and stick envelopes? I would have thought covid would have done away with them

Still waiting for my voting card, getting the feeling they have realized that the future should not be left in my hands.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Yes, I've never taken a voting card.
Quite right too. My standard answer to the politicos who want to look at my card when I come out of the polling stations is 'fcuk off'.

I don't care if I voted for them or not, my vote is private, as is whether I voted or not.

If you are on the Electoral Register you are eligible to vote.

You will normally be sent a Polling Card to present at your Polling Station.

If, like me, you have not been sent a Polling Card yet, but are on the Electoral Register, you are still eligible to vote.

Go to your Polling Station, give the attendant your name and address - provide them with one of the proscribed photo-IDents - then proceed to the Booth.

The time to be mad about the fact that Polling Cards seem not to have been given to people in a timely fashion, and that for the first time, with no justification whatsoever, people are expected to take identification with them to exercise their right to vote, is probably not now but next week, and then all the weeks that follow that one.

And that’ll be the time to hopefully chuckle when they backpeddle on it due to their base being a lot more likely to not have ID on them, causing a massive fall in Tory votes

As much of a lie as "Working hard for Stafford".

I love that being near to a police headquarters is a bad thing for the asylum center, surely thats a benefit to it's placement if the cops can see it from their windows?
