I do not understand your response

Over
I took it to be an expression of incredulity that such a situation could be allowed to happen repeatedly, particularly in such circumstances.

Nice to see you bamboozled by a response, though...
Beautifully expressed

Having never found a bottled real ale that tasted like a draught pint I was well impressed with bottled Holdens Golden Glow

Bosting

However, I might advise stearing clear of Chardolini, a pretend wine from

Birmingham..

Whats going on? More and more breweries are reducing the ABV on a pint of real ale. We squint at the pump clip to find the ABV because we're interested in the strength. Going down but not the price reflecting the duty change.
Latest score is
Brains SA Gold 4.7 to 4.3
Wadsworths Bishops Tipple 6.6 to 5
Wychwood Hobgoblin 5.2 to 4.5 (some will know the pubs that sell it as Englands Pride at a lower price)
Batemans XXXB 4.8 to 4.5
Wells and Youngs Bombardier 4.3 to 4.1

I believe the Royal Oak has reopened in Eccleshall High Street as a Joules pub

Once run by Geoff Hurst it now has a tennant landlord ftom South Africa, sited opposite The Bell which is also run by a South African

And a very nice job they've done of it too. Joules Pale is lovely.
Gave the George a couple of goes last week, lacklustre ale, hardly any punters and no-one seems bothered.
Bell packed out yesterday tea time.

Sainsbury's supermarket is to purchase Thwaites Star brewery in Blackburn, subject to planning permission.
Thwaites is severing its 200 year link with the town to build a state of the art site elsewhere
