Holidays 2018

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
It's actually not very frightening as by the time you realise what's happened it's already finished and you know you're ok.

Besides my mind was concentrating at driving at what I considered to be a somewhat risky 20mph in the torrential rain and deep standing water at the time whilst wagons were blasting by at 60 as if nothing was occurring!

Those crazy Italians...

@Carole I went to Edinburgh Fringe this year it was AMAZING!!

Will your son be there next year?

I looked out for him but couldn't remember his surname?

In the end I saw:

Philosophy & Comedy
Voldemort The Teenage Years the Musical
Vulvarine the Musical
Best of Burlesque

Best night out in a long time!

Did you stay at the Hylton?

@Gramaisc was giving you a clue....my sons name is Hylton.
I expect he’ll be there next year.

This was the queue to get in to see his show on the Saturday that we were there.

We also had a fantastic Fringe. Averaged 7 shows a day starting at lunchtime, right through until the evening.
One of the shows was a comedy impressionist, Luke Kempner who I thought was brilliant. Then by coincidence I noticed he was on TV last night on a impression show with Alexander Armstrong.

Next 2018 holiday in October, a Med cruise. Taking son and his girlfriend with us. We’re having two nights in Barcelona before picking up the cruise from there. Taking in Naples, Rome, Livorno (for Florence), Cannes, Palma. Been to most of the places before but there is always something new to see. So a wonderful mix of culture and fun.

She used to be a flamingo but had to put her foot down :)
I remember, not long after "Pretty Flamingo" was a hit record, moving to a place which had thousands of wild flamingos on a salt lake that I passed most days - I then discovered that, close to, they aren't really that pretty.
